Microsoft made one of the boldest sustainability pledges in corporate history: to become carbon negative, water positive, zero waste, and land protective by 2030. But commitments alone don’t create change—Microsoft needed its 228,000+ employees across 190 countries to understand, believe in, and activate those goals. The Real Estate & Facilities team partnered with Artemis Ward to build a campaign that could translate high-level ambitions into everyday action.

SOLUTION

We developed It’s in Our Nature, a unifying internal campaign that transformed Microsoft’s climate strategy into a global movement. Leading brand development and campaign architecture, we crafted a scalable identity system and storytelling framework that made sustainability personal, local, and actionable—while reinforcing Microsoft’s global leadership.

From Earth Month campaigns to waste reduction pilots, we equipped regional teams with tailored toolkits, messaging frameworks, and workplace activations that brought sustainability into daily routines. Our work spanned internal comms, digital signage, environmental graphics, editorial storytelling, and strategic social content. In Dublin, we helped launch a zero-waste pilot that laid the groundwork for a company-wide waste management model. The campaign has since seen enterprise-wide adoption, becoming the internal brand foundation for Microsoft’s sustainability communications.
